My journey traverses urban landscapes and natural sanctuaries exploring my inner world trapped between the wilderness and urbanity. I aim to take the viewer on an emotional journey rather than physical reality and to engage with the viewer in a meaningful way. 

Wild places, in particular forests represent a connection to the divine and lives in our imagination symbolising the untamed and wild aspects untouched by human influence. The forest invites us to stroll and inhale and heal and to be one with nature to have hope, and experience renewal.  Walking through the forest with me is a celebration of the human spirit and the infinite possibilities that exist within each of us.

This contrasts with the invisible lives we lead hidden behind doors and windows. The walls that surround us are not only protective with a sense of belonging and identity, but also represent isolation and alienation.  The paintings invite the viewer to imagine what lies beneath the flat surfaces and the snatches of sky, and to wonder about the lives that are lived behind the walls and shutters.  It reveals a lot about the human condition and the society, and the emotions and experiences that are shared or concealed by the people. 

My intent is to stir emotions, guiding viewers on a voyage of sentiment rather than sight, fostering a profound connection. Join me in a forest walk, a tribute to the resilience of the human spirit and the boundless potential within us all.
