Jennifer Maltby

Jennifer has become a full-time artist since she retired from being a qualified Graphic Designer and later a Primary School Art teacher in Gqeberha in 2023. Her tertiary studies were conducted at the Nelson Mandela University. National Diploma in Art & Design. Completed in 1983.

Jenny has exhibited at the Grahamstown National Arts Festival Annually, for many years before 2019.  She continues to add to her skills by attending professional development Art Courses with Dr Gregory Kerr on an annual basis. She never misses an opportunity to gain further experience and knowledge from accomplished mentors in the field.

Jenny thoroughly enjoys the wide-open spaces of the Eastern Cape. These include both the Karoo mountains, the big skies and seascapes seen in the Eastern Cape and most importantly here at Bushman’s River Mouth.

Her work is produced mostly in oils, acrylics and mixed media. Producing both abstract and representational paintings.
