Carol Leff

Carol is a published poet, author and artist who lives with her writer husband and their four-legged furry companions in Kleinemonde. She creates bookmarks, greeting cards, small artworks and sun-printed fabrics. Carol recently became fascinated with cyanotype printing and her CyanoTides: Sunprints out of the Blue project came about as a means of honouring the world around her – the natural world. To create her cyanotypes, she uses found objects (eg plants, seaweed, shells, shark egg cases, porcupine quills, feathers etc) as well as photographic negatives (including some very old photos sourced from various archives). The other elements required for the printing process – sunlight and water – are, thankfully, in plentiful supply along our beautiful Sunshine Coast.
